Jeff Tew serves as Vice President of Cinterra’s Utility Division, bringing more than three decades of hands-on experience in utility power construction. He began his career in 1991 as a laborer and steadily advanced through the ranks, earning the role of foreman on both underground and overhead construction crews. His time at Carolina Power & Light, where he served as a crew lead and first-class lineman for nearly seven years, deepened his expertise and leadership in the field. Jeff joined Directional Services, now Cinterra, in 2014 and has since become a trusted leader in overseeing complex utility infrastructure projects nationwide.
Since joining the company, Jeff has continued to grow as a leader—shaping field operations with a commitment to safety, reliability, and craftsmanship. His deep knowledge of utility systems and decades of frontline experience make him a steady and respected presence within Cinterra’s leadership team. Jeff’s no-nonsense approach and ability to guide teams through fast-paced, high-stakes environments have been instrumental in the Utility Division’s continued success and growth.
Jeff splits his time between Stedman, NC and Oak Island, NC, where he lives with his wife and their 13-year-old son. He’s also a proud father to three grown children and a grandfather to three granddaughters—with a fourth on the way. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and being near the coast. What he values most about Cinterra is the opportunity to lead from experience and contribute to a company that respects the craft, values its people, and builds infrastructure that powers communities across the country.
